How do you save a series of waypoint things in google earth? Im trying to create a map with waypionts but cant figure out how to save it so I can share it

This can be done as I've seen it. Doing something similar now for another trip. I'll post what I learn in the nxt few hours.

Ok...that was more than a few hours but here's what I know now after loading the latest Google Earth (GE).
1. You can create a free form path and post the .kmz file. The downside to this is that the user needs GE. Here someone posted the SF Marathon Route:http://www.gearthhacks.com/dlfile222...Course-Map.htm 2. You can post the path to the GE BBS. This essentially has the same effect but is a little easier to post/comment but requires others to have another acct. etc. 3. Post an image of the route. This doesn't require the audience to have a GE but also limits the dynamic nature of GE (pan, zoom, tilt, etc.). I'm probably telling you things you already know. Another approach I used was placemarks + path. The placemarks have lat/long coord. so that's pretty handy on the road. FWIW |
